18th century theatre, playwrights, actors, musicians and courtesans.
The 1700's was an important era for theatre.
Theatre when used for common good, is powerful, compassionate, and versatile.
Theatre plays a major role in the socio-political arena.
Theatre changes prospectives transporting us to another place, another time.
Theatre transcends all.

What began as an interest...
Years of research on the blind playwright John O'Keeffe,
resulted in a keen interest and enthusiasm for 18th century theatre and its inhabitants.
This in turn progressed into the writing of a historical novel - a retelling of O'Keeffe's life and work. Included in this is my diary detailing how each piece of information about him was found.
Intent on returning O'Keeffe to the limelight, which he deserves, I embarked on a journey of playwrighting.
Both novel and play script are entitled Blind Ambition.
My latest project is based on the life and works of an
18th century actress/courtesan/spy.
Her story is one of intrigue with an explosive revelation, and the question is how does she relate to John's story?
